Welcome, are any of us fed up? maybe feeling poor?maybe both?

 

Are we actually fed up of being poor? and want or need to do something about it, because if so welcome to “my place”

You are with good company – lets chat!

Whether fed up or poor, I want to help. I am a great listener, I am used to being fed up and definitely poor in so many ways

Back in November (if you have read any of my other posts) I was homeless in huge debts,my life was falling apart due to personal reasons, my car had been written off, I couldn’t afford to replace it or get to work.

OK so I had a car, and work, but cars cost money to run and I only had a part time job on min wage that barely covered bills let alone pay debts. I wasn’t entitled to benefits.

I did not know where to turn, who to turn to, and my mental health was getting worse, depression began kicking in. This is an area I have never spoken about to anyone or with anyone seeing it as a weakness or a failure within myself.

I had no access to funds as my wages had been transferred out, leaving me with no option but to to get a credit card extend overdrafts, which I knew would be a downward spiral, but I convinced myself it was for an emergency and this was an emergency.(thanks HSBC)

The only thing that saved me was that many years ago I had been in a similar situation if not worse and I knew I had a choice, to fight or be beaten.

I chose to fight this, and began:

researching:- google

Ways to get out of debt, Earn more, Dream dreams,

Put in strategies such as budgets, watch videos, Get books .

I began a new journey of a new sense of freedom of mind, freedom of finances, freedom in life – my way!

Sometimes in my life I have felt held back from the things I wanted to do, have you had that right?

There have been fears or insecurities or people laughing at my ideas-cruel hurtful unsupportive.

In January I said No MORE – and I would just go for it. I decided not to tolerate others trying to intimidate me, belittle, mock, control me, have you ever experienced any of those?

So this blog is also speaking out against those things, and supporting those folk who want to make something of themselves, deserve better, want to succeed, want to say that NOW IS MY TIME!

I could go deeper, but my simple passion is to help people, and while poverty and making money, saving money will appear as key themes basically I want to respond to the call that when someone says they need help, that I can answer that call when perhaps others do not, cannot, will not and thanks to the internet and phones it is so easy to do this.

I want a better life for myself – what about you? Do you know or want-to-know how-to-get-a-better-life?

It was hard and sometimes you feel like you have no choices, no help, and you feel so alone.

In January I decided I was fed up of being poor, and I was determined to do something about it.

In less than 3 months, I turned this life around, I am out of debt, I have savings, I have been on two holidays, a day away in a bed and breakfast, got a new car, paid for a spa session, bought new clothes, took up writing, made new friends near and far, (a huge thanks to these friends, i love and value you so much) and now in the business of helping others and investing in myself.

I have a “vision board” (Its like a dreams and ideas board)

I want to “Get the change, and keep the change!” (a phrase I have coined)

I do not want to work for “anyone”.. I want to work “with” – that mindset is a game changer.

INVEST in YOU!

Welcome here,

If you have been doing any kind of research in your mission to be more financially better off, then no doubt you have come across YouTube videos, if you haven’t get checking these out and blogs, go discover, but get viewing.. I have included some to check out below.

Some may get you to buy someones product or follow them or sign up or you may just get dazzled at what they offer like a rabbit in the head lights.

I feel as much as I want to be there with those people I want to believe.I can’t see it, but I feel it.

My 3 Tips

I have bought books and invested in courses.

One day I will have my own book or course.

Invest, invest in yourself.

Still crazy talk right? No, seriously this is your time, your moment, be selfish be self centered for once, and why.. Because you are worth it! Sounds like an advert right, but I will say it again you are worth it!

You owe it to yourself. You have been there for others, you have helped others out, you have given when you can’t afford it, you have lost money.. May be its time to get that back! It’s payback time!

I have been looking at investments into companies, trading, schemes you name it.

I have bought books and signed up to a blogging course.

As far as those videos are concerned they are worth viewing, why.. Because even though you are not there yet it is possible, and how do I know?

I started with no money, in fact huge debts. In one month I’ve paid off my credit card I have 3 types of saving accounts and I have splashed the cash a bit on gifts for people (not big bucks) and I know I should have been perhaps going without, or asking do I need this but instead I’ve just gone for it and why..

Because I’m looking at my different income streams (more money jargon) and I’m seeing small amounts of money which are stacking up and being the person I am, I’m showing friends and it is only pence and a few pounds here and there but the evidence is there, and their jaw drops at how simple it is and I am smug why…

They moan at how poor they are but they don’t want to do anything about it, and I’m like.. Are you for real seriously don’t moan then!!!

Dream it, Action it, live it!

So you’ve declared you are “fed up of being poor” but the question is what are you going to do about it?

I guess it’s a good question but not necessarily an easy question.

For me, this led to so many other questions and work to do before I could even begin to figure out what to do such as where to begin?

What help was there?

Who could I trust?

Would I be alone in this?

Could I do this?

What was the cost or consequences?

The list was endless.

I guess to even begin to start on these questions it depends on how you say you are fed up of being poor, do you say it with conviction and real anger with determination you want to do something about it or more with deep sighs of utter misery and depression with no hope?

This is where mindset and outlook come in. You will discover I will talk about mindset alot in my posts.. Why?

Your mindset will determine your next steps and your successes and failures, I will refer to these as learning curves instead.

Let me share that recently I am on a mission to get rid of a my debts.

As part of my mission to raise monies I had managed to get a chunk of money simply by calling in my debts from those who owed me. I had also worked hard at other ways of getting money such as decluttering as an example.

For once I saw a positive figure in my bank account however, realistically in another account I was in negative figures, huge figures. I was sitting on enough to cover this debt by pooling all the money I had made that month but then it would not cover my living expenses for this month, and rent was owing and I’d got birthday’s to plan for, mothers day, anniversary, a family holiday, savings I’m trying to start, car to m.o.t, I really began to feel like I was chasing my own tail.

Suddenly I became down hearted. It would have been easy to be defeated and begin to get over whelmed, but instead I noticed how because of the hard work I had put in all month I could cover a debt, (I had already paid off my Christmas credit card) and I had savings that although I dipped into it, I had a savings pot which is a huge thing for me as I’ve never had a savings pot until this month but it covered rent.

I am now determined to work even harder. I have tasted and it was good! I have seen that if you are serious about “fedupofbeingpoor” that actually the teaching and studying I have done has paid off and I know can work for others although your route may be different to mine.

Am I intelligent? Do I have secret inside information? No, not at all and I have a long way to go of being financially free but I did work hard at setting goals, simple ones and larger ones and then looking at how to achieve this. IT CAN BE DONE!

My dream is to help others in the same situation as me and as I help myself, I also help others.

Do I promote get rich schemes – no.

Have I made it from rags to riches – no, but by taking tiny steps, taking a risk, investing in myself, and having a hunger to succeed, provide for myself and my family and to help others I am actually doing it little by little.

A friend said today that they didn’t want bits of money they wanted huge amounts.. And don’t we all right, but was that person prepared to do what it takes.. The answer is no they wanted that money to just fall into their lap.

I have to be honest for some people that does happen but that is only because somebody else at some point had to do the hard work in the first place.

I come from humble beginnings but I have high aspirations. Somebody once said it’s like you are pigeon looking at the eagles 🦅 one day I want to be that eagle, why should I have to accept that a pigeon is all I will ever be.

I have a long way to go but I am on a journey and I invite others too, because I cannot do it by myself.

I like to challenge the idea of what is treasure and what is trash, and the excitement of discovering treasure. Many have made money from other peoples rubbish.

Imagine the treasure had your name on it and you had a map to it and you had a guide. If you had these would you be interested?

You may be thinking what is the treasure and is it worth it?

Your treasure may be different to my treasure, and there may be many different ways of getting it that will suit you best – but what is important is that you are looking out for things of value, whether it is something as simple empty toilet rolls or selling old coffee jars.

Try the research challenge of..Making money from (choose anything, or something you can see around you) you then using search engines or other methods find ways of making money through those avenues.

If you are “fedupofbeingpoor” this journey we will go on will make you view life differently, more hopeful, more positive, I have plans to prosper you, to give you a hope and a future, how do I know?

I have been there, I have been homeless, I have been on benefits, i have had to get food out of bins and skips.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Treasure hunting is about value, It is about discovering or re-discovering those things or perhaps people which are of value to us, including ourselves.

What if you are yourself are treasure?

Not many of us value ourselves and this can be hugely disabling to our mental health and also what we can achieve.

Maybe daily life or circumstances have ground us down, or maybe our self worth and self esteem is at its lowest and we are trying to cope.

Maybe on the outside we put on our “we are coping” face but inside we are secretly crying or screaming. You may have self esteem issues which makes life hard.

For me, I am constantly comparing myself to others. Let me share a story.

Crock of poo! and do nothing – then you have lost nothing, but gained nothing.

Crock of poo! But be curious. – You lost nothing by checking this journey out, but have the chance to change your life – I am not talking get rich schemes, or scams or other BS things…just help, mentoring, strategies and connecting you with others that understand and can help.

Who cares? No one understands! – I CARE.. i HAVE BEEN THERE – I am still there, but my life has improved massively. Others care.

Be excited! – Great, because you can use this..This is your time!

The first step, let me tell you is mindset. I will write a separate blog about this, because I cannot tell you how important and a difference this makes.

This is a work in progress, like me, journey of entrepreneurship, making money, saving money, reducing poverty, helping myself and helping others.

I started this blog because I myself was “fed up of being poor” but also I heard this phrase so many times I felt I had to do something myself to change my life and then I could inspire and help others. My dream is to be financially free.

I appreciate that when people think of the word “poor” they may think of third world poverty, the sort of poverty that’s on the news but what about the poverty that’s in front of us, on our doorsteps in our own neighborhoods ,people going without food or heat or hiding from bailiffs, or homeless, roofless, going to food banks. This could be you, or your best friend of family, or your nurses, you may not even know their financial situation and that they are struggling.

As prices rise, low income families find it increasingly hard to pay for the same basic essentials. Sam Royston Chair of End Child Poverty and Director of Policy and Research at the Children’s Society.,  said ‘No family in modern Britain should be struggling to put food on the table, heat their homes and clothe their children. 

I stand with poverty charities such as “End Child Poverty” that work hard to campaign and make a difference.

Finances are often a private matter, and while you may get some who flaunt their wealth, the harsh reality is that finances often cause arguments and relationship break downs.

In-depth Relate study highlights links between debt and relationships

One in seven (14%) GB adults in debt has hidden debt from a partner, and half of these (7%) are currently doing so, according to a new report published today by leading relationship support charity, Relate. Feeling ashamed about debt is the number one reason why people hide it from their partner, with over half (51%) giving this reason. This was followed by being scared of their partner’s reaction (46%) and feeling they had different approaches to money (34%).

Anyone can feel poor, anyone can feel fed up.

Just when you think finances in relationships can be a sticking point and danger ground.. let us add more fuel.

With mental illness and mental health issues on the rise.

However the same article offers support and a  “How to cope strategy”

 

It is hard struggling to live on the min wage or benefits.  I have struggled to make ends meet as I tried to keep my head above water. I am not entitled to any benefits but I was on them several times at different occasions in my life.

I ended up in debt and no matter how I tried I struggled to wipe this debt.
With the cost of living going up, debts growing I began to struggle. I got fed up.

Late January 2018  I said to myself, “I was fed up of being poor“,so I decided to take action. This blog shares with you my journey, but also full of hints and tips to help others.
