Welcome to my blog,

Question – How good are you at keeping secrets or sharing?

For the last few weeks I have been focusing on making money rather than saving money.

That said, I was excited to deposit money at the end of this month I had been saving into 3 pots, a christmas saving pot, a charity box, and another saving pot.

You may not think this in itself is amazing, however having never saved before or having an emergency fund or rainy day pot, those who also struggle with saving will also think this is huge, and it is huge…

I have hit a wall with income streams, and trying to trickle more money while searching for, “the big money makers” and getting no where (or so it seems)

I really want to know the insider secrets but I don’t want to buy software that may or may not deliver, I don’t want to invest in stocks or bit coin that I can lose on, I want certainties, assurances, genuineness, and trust.

My dream is to work from home, internet, or writing or research but also helping people to realise their dreams and seeing them soar and I can’ t do this by myself, I need you!

In my own journey i’ve seen people excited at saving that works for them through something I shared, seeing peoples face light up when I teach them things or open their eyes to opportunities. This is what excites me.!

I have seen how the strategies I have learned have enabled me in just 2 months, to clear credit card debt, over draft debt, save, pay for a holiday, have spare spending money, get a bigger place to live, buy a new car, (still second hand but vast up grade)

I know that this is a drop in the ocean and just the start for me.

I am dedicated, I love to learn, and I persevere.

I thank you all who follow me as I love your blogs or looking at what you do, and would love to connect with entrepreneurs who are interested or already mentor others. You folk inspire me but also scare me as I wish I was as successful.

I believe in the “pay it forward” ideology, so if you have any tips or secrets you could share with those struggling or just setting out, would be amazing.

When I started my money mission a few months ago, I had a vision of tiny streams coming into a river.

I’ve had similar visions of picking money bags off trees and these magically being replaced.

You may scoff or laugh at such dreams but within these there are several learning tips.

Firstly it’s good to dream!

By focusing on our dreams we can work towards them, and I mean work.

Opportunities may come your way, search and seek and they will come, but we may have to work for them.

Streams of income may come in a variety of shapes and sizes,

Be Grateful for the small or large, but always be on the look out as mentioned above, as any of these sources could dry up!

Emotional Awareness – this may not affect everyone but it can be a hard battle constantly searching and working for income streams, passive income, and I wish there was an easy way of doing it, but easy usually comes with risks or uncertainties or more research and work or trust.

Emotional Awareness – What It Is and Why You Need It

Adverts selling software or strategies or sign up schemes OR investing just a small amount of money to get a huge return… Always read the small print!

Set aside budgets, and plan money in and out. If you want help with this let me know.

Keep receipts!  These can be used for apps that can also earn you money.(links will added soon.. or search yourself)

Book “you time” OR time away and more importantly time away from “work”and” life” it is important.

Turned your phone off recently?  or your consoles or social media or lap tops etc Not many of us do.

Setting a budget!

It has been good to set a budget, I haven’t gone without or denied myself anything I have wanted, but I have found my needs and wants have changed.

hello and welcome

Some say we all have a story to tell, and some people like a good story. Most stories  have a beginning middle and end, however fans of huge films know there are often back stories, and stories before the stories and stories after the stories… never ending stories in my opinion are the best ones. Welcome to one of mine.

Regular visitors will notice many of my such stories, and you are invited to be a part of. In my experience people are looking for people who are real, transparent, evidence.. the good the bad the ugly.  My journey is real, it is raw, it sure is ugly, but it shaped me.

Back in November 2017 I was homeless, no roof over my head, spent a few nights on a sofa somewhere, and no money and no access to funds.

I had my car but that got smashed up by a deer running out in front of me and then I was car less as it got written off.

I had a min wage job with a small contract of hours which was OK at one point but later my circumstances were different and I was racking up debt.

I felt I had no where to go and did not know where to turn and how I cried, and yes I prayed……not in any religious way, but if there was a God or Deity or a ruling cosmos… I needed it now.

So there I was, no money, no home, but unbeknownst to me I had people who in their own ways helped me get where I am now from cooking meals, to offering to do washing, to cut my hair, to giving me lifts, to speaking to contacts to get me some bed n breakfast support if only for a few days, free drinks, bacon sandwiches to name a few things.

I will never be able to thank these people enough.

So I’d been homeless before and hungry and had no money so I knew I had to go into survivor mode or I was going to return to a dark path which I didn’t want to go down again.

It’s, I want to say amazing, but this isn’t the right word, it’s… Well in survivor mode you do what you have to do to survive. Some of you reading this will know what I’m talking about.

I was caught in a victim mentality.

On top of this I also had what’s called a poverty spirit . You folks can check these words out because let me tell you it’s a real thing, I’ll say it again I had a poverty spirit and I still do! (For those interested I will add a link to a great resources blog shortly)

This post is not about confessing of sins or any kind of epiphany, but the back story of my fight..

The fight to no longer be poor, the fight to gain self worth.

Investing is a key word at the moment for me, but instead of bitcoin my path is taking me to invest in myself and others. Your path may take you to different places.

In January I told myself I was fed up of being poor. I had dreams and ambitions, of writing, being a food and drink writer, being a mystery shopper (which I had wanted to do for ages) and making enough money to see my debts vanish.

Through sheer hard work I’ve nearly doubled my income and got a few tiny streams of income coming in, such as from cash back sites.

I have just discovered this video on income streams.. It is not what you may expect!

My credit card bill is paid, my overdraft is on its way to clearing, but I’ve cleared another overdraft and now have saving pots, all in just two months! *EDIT* MONTH 3 PAID!

I’m waking up of dreaming about earning money in my sleep, earning money before I go to my daytime job, researching ways to monetize my passions and I have not even started to scratch the surface yet.

It feels like I’m obsessed and for a while I aim to be and why, because I want to focus on my goal to get out of debt and have the tools in place to stay out!

I want to be able to buy what I or others want and need without going into debt or going without.   I want to run my car and not worry if I can afford the petrol, I want to afford a holiday even if its a cheap one because even the cheap ones cost.

Suddenly, instead of waiting and hoping for others to pay I’m offering to pay and its an unbelievable feeling.

“I want to encourage you all to keep dreaming, keep reaching high, aspire to do more, be more, but when you are on way up, help others.”

I still need to achieve my dream of having a book or a store and both but I got a long way to go and need more help yet.

If you have been doing any kind of research in your mission to be more financially better off, then no doubt you have come across YouTube videos, if you haven’t get checking these out and blogs, go discover, but get viewing.. I have included some to check out below.

Some may get you to buy someones product or follow them or sign up or you may just get dazzled at what they offer like a rabbit in the head lights.

I feel as much as I want to be there with those people I want to believe.I can’t see it, but I feel it.

My 3 Tips

One day I will have my own book or course.

Invest, invest in yourself.

Still crazy talk right? No, seriously this is your time, your moment, be selfish be self centered for once, and why.. Because you are worth it! Sounds like an advert right, but I will say it again you are worth it!

You owe it to yourself. You have been there for others, you have helped others out, you have given when you can’t afford it, you have lost money.. May be its time to get that back! It’s payback time!

I have been looking at investments into companies, trading, schemes you name it.

I have bought books and signed up to a blogging course.

As far as those videos are concerned they are worth viewing, why.. Because even though you are not there yet it is possible, and how do I know?

I started with no money, in fact huge debts. In one month I’ve paid off my credit card I have 3 types of saving accounts and I have splashed the cash a bit on gifts for people (not big bucks) and I know I should have been perhaps going without, or asking do I need this but instead I’ve just gone for it and why..

Because I’m looking at my different income streams (more money jargon) and I’m seeing small amounts of money which are stacking up and being the person I am, I’m showing friends and it is only pence and a few pounds here and there but the evidence is there, and their jaw drops at how simple it is and I am smug why…

They moan at how poor they are but they don’t want to do anything about it, and I’m like.. Are you for real seriously don’t moan then!!!

If you have access to the computer or a phone apple or android then you can get games and all sorts in the apps.

I like playing games and I like earning money so I wondered if I could combine the two.

I’m often bored and like most people spend a lot of time on my phone and what’s the phrase you may hear alot,. “time is money”

So I ask you what is your time worth?

I have to be honest I’ve never been asked that nor have I thought about it until recently.

In the past I would chill and watch mind numbing TV or play on games consoles or generally waste time.

I never minded it as unwinding and relaxing is good, but recently I’ve been thinking, what if I can turn my passions into money?

Can I watch the TV and get paid?

Can I play on my cell phone or games console and get paid?

Can I go on walks or shopping and still get paid?

Can I get paid to sleep?

I get paid to do all of those, yes even sleep..

Then my mind starts going into over drive as this list could be endless and you can see where I’m going with this.

I have friends moaning how skint (poor) they are yet when I tell them there are ways of making “passive income” (extra money… I’m even picking up on monetary lingo) I get strange looks as if I’m lying or the sidelines aren’t big enough steaks for them. I know from my experiments that small change very soon adds up and the more you start to explore this field and hunt for online treasure the more you can find, its endless and no excuses… I mean 30p just to pick up a receipt that people have dropped.. Pick up as many as you can and that’s free coffee and cake money or Mcdonalds in my case.

EARNING POTENTIAL IS ONLY AS LIMITED AS YOUR MIND.

I have to share something and I’m embarrassed but, as I have been on my journey, I’ve wanted to keep the nuggets of gold (disclaimer not actual gold) I’ve discovered to myself, as in websites, videos, blogs, links, books, people, all that helped to get me this far without knowing.

I mean who wouldn’t, but I’m wrong to do this as to be honest these are not actually my nuggets, they are the result of other people’s hard work or research.

I am all up for the easy ride because I’m lazy by nature I like to take it easy, however I know if I want to succeed and be a millionaire, – this may not happen for a while or at all but I sure am going to try and I’m going to push open every door that comes my way and I’m going to work hard. (mostly because I want to prove scoffers and those that laugh or doubt me wrong)

I want to buy that large house or that new car..I am visualizing, I construct visualization boards.

When I started this journey I had a dream or vision of a long corridor and lots of doors, some open and others not and I was distracted by them all however one door was glowing white, kinda like you may see on movies like some heavenly door but this door represented my goal to be an entrepreneur to make money.

Some may quote “the love of money is the route to all evil” and I respect that, however the more money I get, the more I spend on others, so I am actually never going to be rich as I give it away.

Maybe this is what true wealth, is as you can’t take it with you when you die but you can leave an inheritance or Legacy behind to help others.

So, I’m on this journey and I’m giving myself goals..double passive income amount, save for Christmas, save for deposits, save for holidays, earn extra for holidays and it’s all about more more more! “please sir i’d like some more”(oliver twist)

How to get Something for Nothing.

So this is a real thing and a  passion of mine researching and getting things for nothing!

Imagine being fed up of having no money,poor, having to watch budgets always in debt or near to it, maybe if you are reading this you don’t have to imagine!

I began a few years ago to explore the possibility of living for free or next to nothing.

I saw a show where women would turn up at supermarkets with handfuls of vouchers and pay for trolley loads of shopping. I was in awe.. I wanted to be that person.(extreme couponing)

I began then a search to see how this was possible and to look at other ways of saving.

Now if I could teach you how to get something for nothing and live for free how much would that be worth to you?

Would you take a sneek peek into such a book or buy me coffee, coffee would be nice!

As a teaser imagine you had a small child or relative, and you wanted to save money for them but let’s face it saving can be tough right. I discovered a site that will pay you every time you do say a normal purchase from amazon argos or boots plus lots more. Now don’t get me wrong this is not a huge amount, pennies even, but after a year… and you could get others involved to pay into this account too as they shop your child is quids in.

I’m one of those people that would love to give to charity, I would, but again I struggle. In a similar way there are sites similar to the above that as you do your normal online shop, they also will donate to your chosen charity at no cost to you.

Now, if you are thinking this sounds too good to be true, which I would and alarm bells would ring for me also, imagine just what if this were true.

I’m thinking this is worth me investigating more.

Dream it, Action it, live it!

So you’ve declared you are “fed up of being poor” but the question is what are you going to do about it?

I guess it’s a good question but not necessarily an easy question.

For me, this led to so many other questions and work to do before I could even begin to figure out what to do such as where to begin?

What help was there?

Who could I trust?

Would I be alone in this?

Could I do this?

What was the cost or consequences?

The list was endless.

I guess to even begin to start on these questions it depends on how you say you are fed up of being poor, do you say it with conviction and real anger with determination you want to do something about it or more with deep sighs of utter misery and depression with no hope?

This is where mindset and outlook come in. You will discover I will talk about mindset alot in my posts.. Why?

Your mindset will determine your next steps and your successes and failures, I will refer to these as learning curves instead.

Let me share that recently I am on a mission to get rid of a my debts.

As part of my mission to raise monies I had managed to get a chunk of money simply by calling in my debts from those who owed me. I had also worked hard at other ways of getting money such as decluttering as an example.

For once I saw a positive figure in my bank account however, realistically in another account I was in negative figures, huge figures. I was sitting on enough to cover this debt by pooling all the money I had made that month but then it would not cover my living expenses for this month, and rent was owing and I’d got birthday’s to plan for, mothers day, anniversary, a family holiday, savings I’m trying to start, car to m.o.t, I really began to feel like I was chasing my own tail.

Suddenly I became down hearted. It would have been easy to be defeated and begin to get over whelmed, but instead I noticed how because of the hard work I had put in all month I could cover a debt, (I had already paid off my Christmas credit card) and I had savings that although I dipped into it, I had a savings pot which is a huge thing for me as I’ve never had a savings pot until this month but it covered rent.

I am now determined to work even harder. I have tasted and it was good! I have seen that if you are serious about “fedupofbeingpoor” that actually the teaching and studying I have done has paid off and I know can work for others although your route may be different to mine.

Am I intelligent? Do I have secret inside information? No, not at all and I have a long way to go of being financially free but I did work hard at setting goals, simple ones and larger ones and then looking at how to achieve this. IT CAN BE DONE!

My dream is to help others in the same situation as me and as I help myself, I also help others.

Do I promote get rich schemes – no.

Have I made it from rags to riches – no, but by taking tiny steps, taking a risk, investing in myself, and having a hunger to succeed, provide for myself and my family and to help others I am actually doing it little by little.

A friend said today that they didn’t want bits of money they wanted huge amounts.. And don’t we all right, but was that person prepared to do what it takes.. The answer is no they wanted that money to just fall into their lap.

I have to be honest for some people that does happen but that is only because somebody else at some point had to do the hard work in the first place.

I come from humble beginnings but I have high aspirations. Somebody once said it’s like you are pigeon looking at the eagles 🦅 one day I want to be that eagle, why should I have to accept that a pigeon is all I will ever be.

I have a long way to go but I am on a journey and I invite others too, because I cannot do it by myself.

Pennies from Heaven.

Yep that is my piggy bank:) cute huh.

My grandma used to say “look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves” as a kid of 11, I was like OK grandma… But how wise she was!

A random question for you. If you saw say a currency note on the floor, value of 5,10,20 how many of you would pick that up? Would you pocket it?

As a child, my dad made me take a £20.00 note to the police station I found in a puddle.

Occasionally though money is found on the floor.. As to what you do with it next is your decision.

I’m wondering however, what if it is just a penny or 5p or similar, would you still pick it up? (I appreciate it would be different currency in another country)

If someone said to you to go and Pick some receipts off the floor they could be worth 30p each, plus it’s cleaning up your neighborhood would you do it? I’m thinking probably not but some might.

I’m presented by this kind of dilemma regularly.

On the one hand I’m praying God I want some money, Do prayers for money work? I need some, and then opportunities come along where I can get pence on maybe surveys or picking up receipts or finding the odd coin.

How many of these opportunities do you think I pass up? I will be honest a lot, and why? Because I think it’s not worth it.

Now here’s the thing, whether a believer in God the cosmos the universe, whatever or no faith, you may have muttered under your breath your need or want for money, just as I do quite frequently.

Now opportunities come my way where I can earn little or sometimes I do not even have to earn it, yet I pass them by. If I then pass the little things because I cannot be bothered or too much like hard work, then what chance do I have of getting the big bucks in.

Perhaps I might have a flutter on the lottery or have a bet thinking I might win big, but who really wins? You go in the store for a lottery ticket and you come out with groceries and then you don’t even win.. Do the math, does it add up to you?

I am not saying do not do those things but be aware of addictions or how much money you are spending if you are indeed fed up of being poor because let’s face it, this is a potential area of weakness for some right!

Regularly I tell myself “this week I’m going to win the lottery.” but of course I do not, but who knows.

Let me share with you though, that since starting this blog that: I have gone from zero saving to now I have 3 kinds of saving boxes. One for charity, one for my kids because they always want or need something and one for myself as I save for Christmas.

Every Christmas I seem to have no money to buy presents etc but I seem to find the money and then of course I’m in debt after. Each year I promise myself things will be different so this year I’m not only making a change I’m saving my change.

I always like the idea of giving to charity and again I give out of debt and money I can’t afford and being honest these charities have more money than me but I still give.

I do believe what goes around comes around and so where I am able I like to give and would like to give more.

I found a recent website that encouraged me to save pennies each day and it seems to be working. I have to warn you though there is a danger of dipping in to it if I need change for something. WARNING DO NOT DO THIS! Get out of the habit.

I am working hard at changing my mindset as well about pennies and valuing any kind of money whatever the opportunity (within reason)

“Trash” The new money making Treasure.

I like to challenge the idea of what is treasure and what is trash, and the excitement of discovering treasure. Many have made money from other peoples rubbish.

Imagine the treasure had your name on it and you had a map to it and you had a guide. If you had these would you be interested?

You may be thinking what is the treasure and is it worth it?

Your treasure may be different to my treasure, and there may be many different ways of getting it that will suit you best – but what is important is that you are looking out for things of value, whether it is something as simple empty toilet rolls or selling old coffee jars.

Try the research challenge of..Making money from (choose anything, or something you can see around you) you then using search engines or other methods find ways of making money through those avenues.

If you are “fedupofbeingpoor” this journey we will go on will make you view life differently, more hopeful, more positive, I have plans to prosper you, to give you a hope and a future, how do I know?

I have been there, I have been homeless, I have been on benefits, i have had to get food out of bins and skips.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Treasure hunting is about value, It is about discovering or re-discovering those things or perhaps people which are of value to us, including ourselves.

What if you are yourself are treasure?

Not many of us value ourselves and this can be hugely disabling to our mental health and also what we can achieve.

Maybe daily life or circumstances have ground us down, or maybe our self worth and self esteem is at its lowest and we are trying to cope.

Maybe on the outside we put on our “we are coping” face but inside we are secretly crying or screaming. You may have self esteem issues which makes life hard.

For me, I am constantly comparing myself to others. Let me share a story.

This is a work in progress, like me, journey of entrepreneurship, making money, saving money, reducing poverty, helping myself and helping others.

I started this blog because I myself was “fed up of being poor” but also I heard this phrase so many times I felt I had to do something myself to change my life and then I could inspire and help others. My dream is to be financially free.

I appreciate that when people think of the word “poor” they may think of third world poverty, the sort of poverty that’s on the news but what about the poverty that’s in front of us, on our doorsteps in our own neighborhoods ,people going without food or heat or hiding from bailiffs, or homeless, roofless, going to food banks. This could be you, or your best friend of family, or your nurses, you may not even know their financial situation and that they are struggling.

As prices rise, low income families find it increasingly hard to pay for the same basic essentials. Sam Royston Chair of End Child Poverty and Director of Policy and Research at the Children’s Society.,  said ‘No family in modern Britain should be struggling to put food on the table, heat their homes and clothe their children. 

I stand with poverty charities such as “End Child Poverty” that work hard to campaign and make a difference.

Finances are often a private matter, and while you may get some who flaunt their wealth, the harsh reality is that finances often cause arguments and relationship break downs.

In-depth Relate study highlights links between debt and relationships

One in seven (14%) GB adults in debt has hidden debt from a partner, and half of these (7%) are currently doing so, according to a new report published today by leading relationship support charity, Relate. Feeling ashamed about debt is the number one reason why people hide it from their partner, with over half (51%) giving this reason. This was followed by being scared of their partner’s reaction (46%) and feeling they had different approaches to money (34%).

Anyone can feel poor, anyone can feel fed up.

Just when you think finances in relationships can be a sticking point and danger ground.. let us add more fuel.

It is hard struggling to live on the min wage or benefits.  I have struggled to make ends meet as I tried to keep my head above water. I am not entitled to any benefits but I was on them several times at different occasions in my life.

I ended up in debt and no matter how I tried I struggled to wipe this debt.
With the cost of living going up, debts growing I began to struggle. I got fed up.

Late January 2018  I said to myself, “I was fed up of being poor“,so I decided to take action. This blog shares with you my journey, but also full of hints and tips to help others.
